Our cultural initiatives create spaces for reflection, exchange, and learning across the modern and contemporary African art ecosystem.
Talks — Threading the Art Ecosystem: Insights, Narratives, and Perspectives Shaping the Art World is a free, expert-led Zoom series that invites open conversations around art, creativity, and cultural practice. Through these discussions, we bring together artists, curators, and thinkers to share perspectives, unpack processes, and engage with the realities shaping today’s art world.
The Manuscript is an evolving drawing project initiated in 2017 to explore the limitless possibilities of drawing as both medium and process. Rooted in experimentation, materiality, and imagination, the project was conceived as a space where artists could engage drawing beyond convention — not simply as preparation, but as a complete and expansive artistic language. Over the years, The Manuscript has grown through a series of exhibitions and dialogues that have continuously examined the emotional, conceptual, and physical nature of mark-making.
Unfolding Lands is a lifelong cultural project grounded in community and lived experience. Bringing together artists, storytellers, and institutions in sustained collaboration, the project explores themes of identity, migration, memory, and belonging. As a living archive of personal and collective narratives, Unfolding Lands reflects our core belief in art’s transformative power — to connect, to question, and to reimagine the worlds we share.
